Purpose

Physicochemical properties
White needle-like crystals. Melting point: 61°C; boiling point: 136°C; flash point: 60°C; relative density: 0.9113; refractive index: 1.4156. Soluble in water, ethanol, diethyl ether, and acetone; soluble in acids and bases; readily hydrolyzed in dilute acid. Volatilizes rapidly in air.
Packaging and Storage & Transportation
Line cardboard drums with polyethylene bags; store in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry warehouse, away from sources of ignition and heat; smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Avoid contact with oxidizers and acids. Handle with care during loading and unloading to prevent damage to packaging and containers.
